A Canadian visitor visa, otherwise referred to as a TRV, is a document allowing permission to foreign nationals to enter into the country for a short period of time. Normally, this is for touring, business trips, or visiting family/friends. Applicants must have close relations in their home country through work, family, or property to ensure returning after the visit. Moreover, applicants will be required to provide proof of adequate funds to support the stay, a travel itinerary, and sometimes an invitation letter from someone in Canada. In some cases, depending on the country of residence, applicants may also need to provide biometric data and pass a medical exam. Usually, it is valid for six months at a time per entry, and applicants must leave Canada before it expires.
